Biography
Eloi Puig-Mayenco (Ph.D. in Psycholinguistics, 2019, University of Reading) is Senior Lecturer in Psycholinguistics in the School of Education, Communication & Society at King’s College London. His research examines second and third language acquisition across the lifespan, with a particular focus on how previously acquired languages shape the initial stages and subsequent development of third language (L3) grammars. His work also addresses early bilingualism, the role of syntax–semantics interfaces in non-native language acquisition, and methodological issues in research on additional languages. He has published widely in international journals and has contributed to advancing both theoretical and empirical perspectives on multilingualism.
At King’s, he teaches courses in second/additional language acquisition, quantitative research methods, and second language learning on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He also supervises doctoral students working on second and third language acquisition, especially projects investigating syntax–semantics interface phenomena across diverse language combinations.
