Results!

Hey everyone,
So it turns out it were a few busy months indeed!
Gotta say that segmenting the Bristol-scanned batch of skulls was way faster than I expected, and the 100+ scans were processed by mid-October. Landmarking them was still painful though, particularly as several hiccups appeared while semilandmarking... But it is done now, all crania, all mandibles, everything ready to go! In fact, I did some quick preliminary analyses and populated the website with some of the early results: a nice 3D morphospace for crania over here, a quick summary of some mandible findings over there, and maybe some other surprises. Fingers crossed, but it looks like we're gonna need a bigger boat to put all these results on jaws and stuff, not just the originally-planed single paper on skull shape. [If you saw what I did there, you're probably as bad at humor as I am. Sorry!]
At the moment I'm working (when R allows me) on a couple presentations for incoming conferences with the results of the interspecific comparison plus some sexual dimorphism, one on crania for SICB 2021, the other on mandible for the Anatomical Society winter meeting. So if you're virtually attending those conferences, make sure to say hello! If you're not but attending but are interested about the results, the abstracts will be available at my ResearchGate page after the conferences.
Anyway, I better get back to R and those presentations, the winter holidays are almost upon us!
Until next update,
Eloy
08Jun2021 Edit: I had to change the link to SICB's twitter because apparently the one for the conference is not working anymore...
