Hey everyone,
Finally the trips are over! Gods I hate traveling...
That being said, these trips were quite okay, although I'm completely exhausted.
First up was Bristol. This time with less accommodation hassle and even better food. If you are planning on going to Bristol, you need to eat at Bravas. The tapas were so good that I thought I was back home (even though I usually don't go "de tapeo" very often when I'm in Spain xD). Anyway, MINKS-related, Liz scans were glorious as usual, but our staining apparently wasn't. I've put some pictures on the Methods page, but they will be changed once we hopefully get better results after a second round of staining.
Then there was NHMUK. The museum is amazing, Roberto is great and was very nice to us, food was decent (and kinda cheap) and both Sophia and I got a bunch of cool stuff for our datasets, with a sprinkle of future microCT scans courtesy of MINKS and ACCE. Gotta say though, that I was a bit disappointed on how skull-centric the collections are... In any case the only downside is that Storm Eunice touched ground on our last day, shutting down all travel and marooning us in London for an extra day.
And last but not least I went back to Spain again to... get rid of some stuff. Phone included. Good riddance to you and your sudden deaths!
Well, that's it for today. I've put together some pictures from the trips below. Hopefully that will keep you all entertained until I can write again. A couple hard deadlines this month and not enough time for both, so I might die trying...
Until next update,
Eloy
