Edinburgh is awesome!

Hey everyone,
I just got home after spending the day in Edinburgh with Phil checking the collections at the National Museum of Scotland. I'm exhausted! Visiting a new museum always feels like Xmas morning, but NMS was something special. SO. MUCH. STUFF! We ended up just compiling a list of available data and preservation status for each specimen, which we'll review over the next few days to prepare a proper loan. They have so many American mink skulls that we'll be able to pick and choose whatever we need to complement the ever growing osteological sample.
Again, no pictures this time, sorry. Just Google Edinburgh images if you don't know the city (I sure didn't), it's spectacular. The local's accent though... I thought I was finally getting my grip on UK English (or at least the Yorkshire accent), but Gods was I wrong! Having improved my English with US multimedia content, I was led to believe that the standard here was that very posh and polite thing we hear in US shows. The moment I got to York I realized that that was a lie, but I didn't imagine the breadth of accents the UK has. Thankfully Phil was there to translate (especially with the cabby)!
Anyway, I'm rambling as usual...
Until next update,
Eloy
