January 2 - 4, 2025 @ Yonsei University
The Workshop on Algorithm for Students (WAS) is an academic workshop designed for students eager to explore and deepen their understanding of the theoretical computer science, particularly algorithm and optimization. This workshop fosters a collaborative environment where participants can enhance their own knowledge and also share their insights with fellow students who are studying similar fields.
Starting with opening seminars, followed by collaborative discussions and problem-solving sessions, participants will work together to solve some algorithmic problems. For WAS2025, some of the candidate problems are as follows:
Approximation Algorithm for Odd Cycle Transversal on Unit Disk Graphs
Parameterized Algorithm for Plane Bichromatic Spanning Trees
Kernels for Triangle Hitting Sets for Hypergraphs
FPT Approximation for Capacitated Facility Location and Capacitated k-median
