Nice to meet you!Â
My name is Chay, a research assistant at Dr. Donata Giglio's research group and the Climate Processes and Predictability Group (PI: Dr. Aneesh Subramanian) in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder. Before I moved to Boulder, I majored in Atmospheric Science at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
I am studying scale-dependent ocean dynamics for the better understanding of the ocean's role in the daily weather-to-climate system, leveraging multi-scale ocean modeling (MITgcm) and the Argo observations. Currently, my work is focused on revealing the cross-scale dynamics in the upper ocean, specifically balance and imbalance motions.
As I am living in Boulder, I like outdoor activities and indoor weight training as well. But sometimes missing the nice seafood and ocean, which is far far away here!
