Dear Students, Parents and Family Members,

We are aware of the tragic school shooting at the STEM School Highlands Ranch in Douglas County. We are holding school as usual, though we will be operating with a heightened sense of awareness. We continue to work hard to make sure that our school is safe, and to monitor for any threatening signs in the community.

We know that situations like this are frightening for all of us. Here is a resource on talking to children about violence from the National Association of School Psychologists. Strong communication and watching out for each other are great safety measures for our children, students, staff, and our entire community. Students can always talk to any staff member or go to www.Safe2Tell.org or call 877-542-7233 to anonymously report anything that concerns or threatens them, their friends, family, or school community.
