A Message from our Principal, Iolanda Faraone

What an extraordinary year at St. Theresa of Lisieux! This year has been marked by numerous successes, both in the classroom and in the rich extracurricular life of our school. At the core of everything we do is emulating our patroness, St. Theresa of Lisieux, who teaches to do the ordinary with extraordinary love. We have seen this commitment to service in action in our staff and students this year; we have much of which to be proud! This newsletter celebrates these successes!

I would like to thank the St. Theresa faculty, students and parent community for their commitment to excellence and for continuing to nurture a culture of care in our school. It is a blessing to have such dynamic, caring and genuinely Christ-centered individuals as members of our staff. To our parents and guardians, thank you for sharing the gift of your children with us. We are truly blessed to be given the opportunity to journey with our students, sharing in their successes and watching them develop their God-given talents and skills. We take such pride in being educators because when we look back at all that has happened this year, we recognize that in some small way, we were able to share in our students’ lives, and that is truly sacred. To our retiring staff members: Mr. Annecchiarico, Mr. Doyle, Ms. Estephan, Mr. MacLeod, Mr. Markle, Mr. Spicer, Ms. Theodoru, Mr. Wong, we are grateful for your numerous contributions and commitment to St. Theresa of Lisieux. We wish you much happiness as you embark on this next chapter in your life. You will be sorely missed. To our VP Ms. Robinson, thank you for your leadership and dedication to our staff and students over the last two years. We will miss your positivity and enthusiasm. The St. Elizabeth community is blessed to have you!

To the graduating class: our hope is that when you look back on your high school years, you will remember them with fondness, with joy, and with great satisfaction knowing that here the seeds of your future successes were sown. As you start the next chapter in your educational journey, remember that Holy Cross will always be your home. Thank you for your numerous contributions to our school. May God bless your journey, and keep you safe always!

To our Catholic School Council, under the leadership of Chair Tina Perri: thank you for your support of numerous initiatives this year. It is always a pleasure to work with you. A strong partnership between home and school is essential to the success and well-being of our students. Your commitment and dedication is much admired and appreciated.

We look forward to meeting our new grade 9’s in September, and wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Summer Break!
