Redhead Special Ed

Welcome! I am so glad you are here.

My name is Kelly and I am a 3rd year Special Education Teacher. I work with 7th and 8th grade students with emotional and behavioral needs. I also have taken on the role of the Special Education Team Leader this year at my school, so the new leadership position has allowed me to learn and grow professionally more than I could have imagined.

I have included a picture of my little family here as well! My husband, Chris, is also a Special Education Teacher. We actually met working at a Special Recreation summer camp working with kids with disabilities. We have two beautiful rescue pups- Hunter (on my lap) and Nora! I wish I could tell you what breeds they are, but per Wisdom Panel dog DNA testing they are "Mega Muts" haha! They love to play, which you can tell from how distracted they are in this picture. We also have a baby girl on the way, I am due in July :)

When I am not at school, I love taking the dogs on walks, baking, and watching something good on tv. We spend a lot of time outside and with our family, and love some good competition on game nights!

I cannot wait to connect with all of you as we share our classroom experiences and reflect upon the world of teaching we all love!
