Update EFL methodology within a competency-based curriculum and evaluation
This is a face-to-face course which will be offered in October 2021.
The main objective of our competency-based education is to enable our students to become full citizens and face future challenges. Skills such as creativity, problem-solving, persistence or collaboration appear in the new horizon of our day to day basis thanks to a new key competency curriculum and a new concept of competency-based assessment and evaluation. You, as participants, will become more familiar with the new curriculum and will work collaboratively in order to design a learning unit according to the new competency-based curriculum. You will deep into the world of PBL, cooperative learning, Gamification…always incorporating ICT in a cross-curricular way.
OBJECTIVES /COMPETENCIES
Value the English curriculum, and also the digital and the personal and social ones, as a tool to help students to achieve the core competencies.
Plan and design evaluation for and as learning.
Analyse the curriculum and other documents to reflect on the implications of learning competencies.
Design and implement instruments to assess for learning.
Analyse interactive and participative learning approaches that develop competences.
Assess different learning and teaching approaches in order to check whether they favour competence-based learning.
