What's GEP?

GEP in Catalan stands for Grup Experimental per al Plurilingüisme.


The  Catalan Department of Education started GEP programme in 2017/18 year-course. 

This programme is aimed at improving students’ FL ( foreign languages) competence, promoting their learning abilities as well as their future access to  the workforce, enabling them to interact worlwide using different languages and favouring their critical thinking skills.

In order to do so, it is recommended to teach the contents of different areas  using a wide variety of texts, resources through different languages by using CLIL methodology ( Content and Learning Integrated Learning). In our school we do it in English and from last year-course in French too!

Who are involved in GEP?


Teachers from different subjects: Maths (3 teachers), ICT (1 teacher), Art (1 teacher), P.E.(1 teacher), Physics & chemistry (1 teacher), Technology (2 teachers) , History (1 teacher) and an English teacher.

Students at all levels  of ESO and Baccalaureate.


What are GEP goals?


The project is aimed at improving;


-students’ Reading competence

-students’ Listening competence

-students’ Communicative competence

-students’ Writing competence
