Day 5

Fifth and last day. I got up with a strange feeling, in a few days I've build a very nice link with the teachers and the students who have taken us in. I'm looking forward to returning home, but I think we still have something to learn. It is a value-filled school with a very powerful SL project, with professionals in constant training and seeking to overcome themselves every day.

Despite this dichotomy, it has been a very festive Erasmus finale. We were able to get in and see how they did a mathematics class and tested us with Roman numerals. Taking advantage of the numbering, the students taught us how to count in Italian and we taught them to count in Catalan and Spanish. Before we left for the other center where the farewell was prepared, the students asked us about our schools and villages and we showed them with the google maps where we came from and in Vilafranca del Penedès appeared the monument of the Castellers, we watched the 3 of 10 on YouTube. They were impressed with the activity and construction.

They had prepared a small recital of poetry with poems from "Il libro degli errori" by Gianni Rodari . Students read individually or in pairs and singer Paolo Capodacqua (music, composer and school teacher) set them to music and sang by making animation. It was a wonderful show, very lively where everyone was able to participate.

At the end of the event, the teachers gave us gifts for the school. It was a very nice gift because there was both the book that students had recited to us and the CD with Paolo's music, but there were also all the objects they had done in the classroom of technology: sacks of smells, earrings, keyrings with the school's name...

Before leaving, they wanted to show us the primary school technology classroom. They had prepared it with a sample of all the works they do: needlework, stiching, pillows, clothing, chess, necklaces, marquetry, ceramics... all wonderful.

Finally, it was time to say later instead of goodbye. Because even though we might not see each other again, we will stay in touch, sharing passion and the joy of reading.
