Chandan Misra is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science & Engineering, XIM University (Previously Xavier University Bhubaneswar), Bhubaneswar, India. His research interests are in Distributed Linear Algebra, Big Data, Music Information Retrieval,  and Computational Musicology.

He has served as a lecturer at the same university from June 2018 to November 2021. Before that, he obtained PhD degree from Advanced Technology Development Centre, IIT Kharagpur under Dr. Soumya K. Ghosh and Dr. Sourangshu Bhattacharya and Master's degree (MS in Engineering by Research) from Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IIT Kharagpur under Dr. Anupam Basu and Dr. Baidurya Bhattacharya. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Department of Information Technology, Kalyani Govt. Engineering College, West Bengal University of Technology.
