Graduation Ceremony

The twelfth graduation ceremony of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, held on 22nd June 2024, was a remarkable event that embodied both tradition and innovation. Preparations for this grand occasion began in the last week of April, with meticulous planning and coordination ensuring its success. Notably, this year, the ceremony was conducted in a single day for the entire batch of 2024. 

The ceremony was divided into two sessions and was live-streamed, allowing parents and relatives in absentia to attend virtually. A special highlight was the modification of the graduation scrolls. These were crafted into paper scrolls featuring the St. Xavier’s pledge, making them cherished mementos for the graduates.

Each session commenced with the academic procession, followed by the college anthem, Principal’s address, Chief guest’s addresses and finally awarding of the degree. The Chief Guests were Ms. Shaheen Mistri, Founder of Akanksha Foundation and CEO of Teach for India, and Ms. Nidhi Choudhari, IAS, Commissioner for Skill Development, Maharashtra for the morning and evening sessions, respectively. The contributions of Ms. Shaheen Mistri and Ms. Nidhi Choudhari as chief guests were deeply appreciated. Their speeches were not only inspirational but also reflective of the values and ethos that St. Xavier’s College strives to impart to its students.
