Every year, on the 31st of July, we commemorate St. Ignatius of Loyola for his many contributions to the field of education and teaching. This year, the day started with the Feast Mass at 9:00a.m. The presence of the Principal, Dr. Rajendra Shinde, our reverend fathers, notable guests and alumni honoured the event. Ms. Mokshada Patil graced the event as an alumna, IPS officer and distinguished Chief Guest. The choir, conducted by Fr. Vivian Almeida, spread the tunes of festivities in the air. To welcome students to look back at the legacy left to them, a 'Retro' theme was organized. This traditional Ignatian anthem was chanted by all Xavierites present there, to mark harmony and oneness.
Following the Mass, the attendees gathered in the Hall for the College Day Programme organised by the Extra curricular and Cultural Committee (ECC). Thereafter, the distribution of scholarships and prizes followed.
Xavierites always feel an ever growing pride towards what the college stands for and this day will be a constant reminder of our illustrious past, leading us to a dynamic future.
