Wycliffe Preschool uses KinderM8 as the childcare management platform for our educators, our families and our service. As families you will use this platform to sign your child in and out of preschool each time they attend. Part of this process is a feature that allows you to leave any messages/communication of a non-sensitive nature. Preschool staff may also leave a message for you, for example, 'Please see staff.'
Preschool staff check that all children have been signed in (and out) each day and as part of this process will be able to see any messages you leave.
It is also good to share any daily communication verbally with a staff member if you have the opportunity.
If there are points of disagreement over actions by the preschool staff, appointments can be made with the Principal, Mr David Johnston. Mr Johnston is also the Nominated Supervisor of the preschool.
The program is written onto the daily program sheets, reflecting indoor, outdoor and group time information. These program sheets are located on large clipboards hanging on the wall near the exit door to the playground. Families can look at and read these at any time. The relevant program sheets will also be shared as part of the ClassDojo post for each group.
A photo slideshow is played each afternoon at home time, providing a visual snapshot of our day.
A regular Preschool newsletter is produced, highlighting the educational experiences that the children have been engaged in and any planned events.
Other information related to various aspects of early childhood education is distributed throughout the year. These are sent home as attachments to emails.
Wycliffe Preschool uses ClassDojo as a digital communication platform. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, information and photos are posted about the Preschool program.
You can also send messages about the program or related experiences on ClassDojo. Please communicate all other information via email. See below.
Wycliffe utilises Facebook to update the community on exciting things happening at the school. We invite you to follow the page for updates.
For more direct or important communication, Preschool staff may contact families via email. Families are welcome to do the same. For messages regarding sickness, holidays, concerns, questions, suggestions or anything of a sensitive nature, please send via email to jtaylor@wycliffe.nsw.edu.au and refer to the guidelines below.
