Some things I'm working on

Teaching linguistics in the language classroom

In collaboration with Dr. Kirsten Drickey in Spanish, we've been exploring the effects of linguistically grounded pronunciation training on student learning outcomes, including student confidence.

Experimenting with orthographic representations

The SLIPP lab (Sounds and Letters in Perception and Production) is conducting experiments on the intersections between how things are spelled and how they're produced, perceived, and accessed.

Teaching and Mentoring

I'm developing new courses and evaluating what's working and what isn't in existing courses. I enjoy mentoring undergraduates in developing their own research and guiding those processes.
