Hi everyone…

I have decided to try a different day and time for our meeting to mix it up a bit. Please forward this message to your child's device.

Our next after school meeting will be Tuesday Dec 18th at 3:00

· Story Time activity

· Service ideas for the winter months

· Google Form

· Officer business

Please remember that the holidays are a time to celebrate the great community service that our students have been doing. Thank-you to all of you and please continue to serve.

See you Tuesday right after school

Our next after school meeting will be Monday November 19 at 4 pm. Service to our community has been outstanding so far this year plus we had a successful Mix it Up Day.Please continue to sign up at our two libraries and other places you have served in the past.

As November has quite a few non-school days kindly remember that service in the community is always needed.

· “Here is your digital citizenship tip of the week. Your phone camera is great way to have some fun sharing your experiences with others. Along with that, however, comes some rights and responsibilities. Never take photos of people without their permission, and never share pictures that may invade their privacy. The flip side is to also be aware of your surroundings. If you see someone taking your photo without your permission, it's your right to ask him or her to stop, or report it to an adult if necessary. Always consider the feelings of others when using your camera, and hopefully others will do the same.

October will be a busy month. Our next after school meeting will be held on Monday October 22nd at 4 PM. Students will be preparing for the Mix It Up Day that week.

NJHS students will also be spreading the word on Digital Citizenship. For valuable tips on Internet, media and technology safety news try the Common Sense “Parent Concerns” website. https://www.commonsensemedia.org/

Service opportunities for October include but not limited to…

“Camp Acorn’s 2018 Fall Programs are going on NOW! Once you review the guidelines and submit an application you’ll receive a confirmation email with the calendar and you are all set to volunteer. We definitely need the most help at the Super Saturdays and Funky Fridays programs. Feel free to contact us at 201-785-1101 with any questions once you submit the online application below. We hope to see you soon!”
