Helping Hands Club
The Helping Hands club at Westwood Regional Middle School has been supporting the community since 2010. Over the years, the club has raised money for Hackensack University Medical Center's Tomorrow's Children’s Fund, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Pet Rescue Organizations, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In addition, The Helping Hands Club has participated in projects promoting Safe Schools Week and anti-bullying efforts, Teacher Appreciation Week, Autism Awareness, and support for our troops. The Helping Hands Club continues to offer service to the school, community, and people in need. Members continue to think of more projects each year, to raise awareness and promote a safe, empathetic environment.
The Helping Hands Club will be offered again this school year to allow our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students the opportunity to give back to their school and community. We will meet virtually after school through ZOOM and work together to create meaningful community service projects that we can do remotely.
We look forward to another great year!
