Hello everyone!

My name is Kelly Penuela, and I am excited to serve as the School Nurse at Berkeley Elementary School. I am a Registered Nurse with experience in both clinical and school health settings, and I am passionate about supporting students’ health, safety, and overall well-being so they can thrive academically and socially.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and am currently completing my School Nurse Certification. My professional background includes experience as a School Nurse, as well as work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and on a Telemetry unit. 

I believe that physical health, emotional well-being and academic success are closely connected. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where students feel safe, cared for, and heard. I look forward to serving our school community to support the health and success of every student.
