BOE Student Representatives
Senior Eric Kopp has served as Class President since his sophomore year and Historian of the Spanish Honor Society. He is very involved within the Music Department, currently participating in the Marching Band and Pit Orchestra. Eric has represented Westwood at the National History Bee and Bowl, along with the Academic Decathlon team at their regional and state competitions. He also interns on a campaign for the NJ General Assembly and Senate. Eric hopes to study political science and communications as a freshman in college.
His dream job is to one day run for a political office and hopefully bring a rational voice into the political discussion.
Sydney Lewis, a senior at Westwood, is the Vice President of and an active member of the Gender Sexuality Alliance, the Treasurer of the Student Body, and a part of the STEM League and Math Team. She is also the Vice President of Westwood’s Woodington Players, and has been on the costume crew since the eighth grade. She’s also a manager at Dairy Queen and a Westwood Recreation Summer Playground counselor.
Ever since Sydney was little, she’s had a very strong passion to help others. Some of her volunteer work includes raising money for the American Cancer Society during the Relay for Life of the Pascack Valley event, attending the annual Westwood Elks Special Need Christmas Party as entertainment, packing food for kids in Haiti, and any other opportunity that comes her way. She wishes to use this drive to better other’s people lives while pursuing a career in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, with a dream job of becoming a Disney Imagineer.
