Hello! My name is Danielle Sheridan and I teach the preschool ABA classroom in Westwood Regional School District. I have been working with students on the autism spectrum for over 15 years. I am so pleased that this is my 12th year teaching in Westwood!
I received a Bachelors degree in Communication from William Paterson University. After several years in the work force, I realized that I needed more fulfillment in my life. I decided to go back to WPU and obtain my General Education and Special Education P-3 certification. That was certainly one of the best decisions I have ever made! Each and every day I am rewarded through watching the progress of my students unfold before my eyes. There is certainly nothing more rewarding than knowing you played a role in the life of a child.
I strive to create an atmosphere where my students feel safe, secure, loved and accepted, all while trying to guide them to be the best they can be. I hope to foster a lifetime love of learning and excitement for school each day. There is no greater joy as a teacher than to see smiling, happy faces running towards the school doors each morning!
Please know that I am always available with any questions or concerns you may have. I am a firm believer in the adage that it takes a village to raise a child. I am honored for the opportunity to be part of your child's team in their formative years.
