FITNESSGRAM
FitnessGram is the only health-related fitness assessment to use criterion-referenced standards to determine students' fitness level based on what is optimal for good health. This assessment measures three components of health related physical fitness (aerobic capacity, body composition, muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. The Westwood Regional School District implements this nationwide fitness test starting at 4th grade!

Give students responsibility for managing and recording their own activities
Create detailed reports of progress for students and parents

FitnessGram tests:
Aerobic Capacity: PACER TEST
Body Composition: Body Mass Index
Muscular Strength, Endurance, Flexibility:
Abdominal strength and endurance (curl up)
Trunk extensor strength and endurance (Trunk lift)
Upper body strength and endurance (Push Up)
Flexibility ( Back saver sit and reach)
