    • Slide Grease
    • Trumpet snake (you can buy this at any music store)

How to clean your mouthpiece:

    • Boil a small pot of water, and put the mouthpiece in.
    • Continue boiling the mouthpiece for at least 10 minutes.
    • Use a mouthpiece brush to remove any “gunk” in the mouthpiece.

**DO NOT TOUCH THE MOUTHPIECE UNTIL IT HAS COOLED!!!

How to bathe your trumpet:

1. Fill your bathtub with luke warm, soapy water.

2. Take apart your trumpet, by removing all valves, slides, mouthpiece, etc.

(** REMOVE THE FELTS AND SPRINGS FROM THE VALVES!!!!)

3. Place all trumpet parts in the tub, and let them soak for about 1 hour. Then use your trumpet snake and snake out all slides and valves to loosen up all of the dirt inside the instrument.

4. When you are finished letting the trumpet soak, rinse it out with warm water to get rid of all of the soap.

5. Place your trumpet and all of its pieces on a towel to air-dry.

6. Re-oil and grease up your slides, and reassemble your trumpet.

IT WILL BE VERY HAPPY AFTER HAVING ITS BATH!!!
