Voice & Choice in the
ELA Classroom

The two of us will chat about ways we have incorporated more choice in the ELA classroom, with a nod towards using technology to help create the choices. Topics we might cover include: choice boards, summative assessment menus, playlists, research menus (like the SIRS database), as well as smaller daily choices like how to access a text (reading silently, reading aloud, listening to audio), how to write a good discussion question, and whether to tackle an assignment alone or in a small group.

Suggested Audience: 6-12, Admin– Clock Hours: REGULAR (1 HR)
