My name is Ashley Womble. After attending Texas A&M - Commerce, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a certification of EC-6 with an ESL supplement. I also have a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Texas A&M- Commerce. I am currently working at getting my LPC license and am a certified LPC-Associated supervised by Dwayne Frei LPC-Supervisor.
The past six years I have enjoyed expanding my mission field beyond my classroom and pursuing my passion for counseling. My passion has always been to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Being a school counselor means I can work with students, teachers, administration, as well as families, and the community.
This will be my sixth year of counseling at Whitewright Elementary and I can't wait for another great year!
I am blessed with an abundant family. I am married with two beautiful children. I have a little boy and a little girl! My son is Carson. He is going into Third at Whitewright and loves the TIGERS! My daughter's name is Briar Grace and she is 6 years old and is a First Grade TIGER! I have been married for almost 14 years to a wonderful husband. We live in the country and love to ride our side by side and play outside. When we aren't playing outside, we love to hang out with family. We also enjoy playing and vacationing with family.
I am a child of three and have an older sister and a younger brother. I was blessed with a bonus family as well and am so thankful to have such an amazing family filled with many nieces and nephews. My family and God play an important role in my life!
For some Nurturers, the call is connected to a single being, living thing or discrete group, community or population. This might range from an aging relative to an animal at a shelter or an ancient forest. For others, the yearning to give care is felt more broadly, literally anyone or anything that is in need becomes an anchor for your desire to relieve suffering, give care, heal or offer comfort.
Many Nurturers find themselves in helping professions, but just like all of the Sparketypes, your ability to offer empathy, compassion, give care to those in need of help can and does cross any field, industry or title. This Sparketype also often finds a powerful outlet in your non-professional pursuits, expressed in your desire to help friends, strangers or even entire populations whose pain you simply cannot witness without doing something about it. When you have the opportunity to give care, and you see the difference it makes, even if you're never directly thanked, you become Sparked.
