Issuu: Free site that allows teachers to upload documents and then convert them into digital publications. Completed projects can be linked or embedded on web sites and experienced as “flip books.”

Storyboard That: You Teach. They Create. Everyone Learns. Creative way to share knowledge in the form of comics and storyboards. This is not a free program, but is available at a minimal cost.

Research Tools:

Word Cloud Generators:

Tagxedo: Turns words -- famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters -- into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text.

Wordle: A tool for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to your own desktop to use as you wish.
