Local Records

W.Va. Code §5A-8-15 provides for records management and preservation of county records. It establishes a Records Management and Preservation Board made up of the Commissioner of the Division of Culture and History, Administrator of the Supreme Court of Appeals, the Chief Technology Officer, and various county officials.  This board is responsible for the oversight of the local records management program.
