In my class:
It's important that all students feel successful in math -- because ALL students CAN BE SUCCESSFUL. There's NO such thing as a "math person." So, throughout the year, we will be working on how each of us approaches problem-solving and finding strategies that work for each individual. Problem-solving is a life-long skill!
About Ms. Robinson
This is my 5th year teaching 7th Grade Math at Southport Elementary -- but it'll be my 1st year in Room 31. Time to make new memories!
Before teaching, I was a Technical Writer at Golden 1 Credit Union for 12 years. I went to Sierra College, Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo!), and National University to get a B.A. in English, Technical Writing Certificate, and Master's in Education, Teaching Mathematics.
I love spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, traveling, going to baseball games, listening to music, and reading books. Some of my favorites are Star Wars, Marvel/DC, SF Giants, Disney, Joss Whedon, Harry Potter, Neil Gaiman, Paul Simon, Brad Paisley, Michael Jackson, Pink, Chai (tea),...ok, that's enough. You get the idea.
