Six of our F.5 BAFS students recently participated in an Accounting Workshop organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
The event began with an enlightening session by the Senior Operation Manager of FSE Environmental Solutions Limited with valuable insights on "Diversity in Accounting: Profession and Career Aspirations for the Industry." Our students were captivated by the speaker's extensive knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of the vast opportunities within the accounting field.
The second part of the workshop involved a stimulating case study led by representatives from the HKICPA, focusing on evaluating a company's financial performance. Our students were enthusiastically engaged in the study, showcasing their analytical skills and innovative ideas.
This workshop proved to be an exceptional platform for our students to expand their network by interacting with fellow secondary school students sharing the same passion for accounting. It not only broadened their horizons but also fostered their career vision of the accounting profession.
Five of our F.5 BAFS students recently participated in a company visit to EY organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
In the enlightening session conducted by a representative from EY, one of the esteemed members of the world-renowned accounting Big Four, our students were much impressed by the speaker's profound knowledge and expertise of the accounting field.
They also had an office tour at EY and learned about the intricate day-to-day operations of a prominent accounting firm where dedicated teams collaborate to deliver the finest services.
Arranged by our BAFS and Economics Departments, three of our students participated in the 13th “Junior Financial Secretary” project co-organized by the Education Bureau and The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong.
Apart from learning some essential financial knowledge and good investment attitudes as well as enhancing their sense of public finance in the training programme, they also had a chance to meet the Financial Secretary, Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, at the Government Secretariat, proposing a host of suggestions on the Budget from the youth’s perspective.

Our F.3, F.4 and F.5 BAFS and Economics students recently completed the JA Meet My Goals Mentorship Program organized by Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JA HK) and sponsored by Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon). Participating in regular workshops and mentorship meetings with business volunteers from BNY Mellon focusing on financial as well as career and life planning education, our students were guided to set a saving target with the program offering a 1:1 matching fund, amounting to HK$1,000 per participant at most.
Our students have strengthened their saving habit to better plan and prepare for their future. The program has also enhanced their financial mindset and equipped them with the essential money management skills.
