Three of our students in 4A (Fung Kong Yan, Lau Hoi Yan and Liang Lai Kuen), coordinated by our BAFS and Economics Departments, participated in the 12th “Junior Financial Secretary” project co-organized by the Education Bureau and The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong.
Apart from learning some essential financial knowledge and good investment attitudes as well as enhancing their sense of public finance in the training programme, they also had a chance to meet Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, the Financial Secretary, at the Government Secretariat on 19 December 2022, proposing a host of suggestions on the Budget from the youth’s perspective.

“Hope for the Future”
Arranged by our Career Guidance and Life Planning Section, some of our Form 4 students attended an inspiring event named Dialogue with Women Chief Executives 2023 jointly organized by the CUHK Business School and Women Chief Executives (WCEs) on 18 April 2023.
Our students were amazed and enlightened by these role models who have managed to break the gender stereotypes and climbed to the top of the corporate ladder. One of them shared a story about how she turned failure into success, and adversity into possibility. Besides, students were encouraged that gender bias should not hold them back and there is more than one path to greatness. The occasion not only broadened students’ horizons, but also facilitated their career goal planning. It is hoped that they will make the most of what they have learnt and work toward their dreams.

Our school places great emphasis on learning through practice to ensure that our students’ learning journey is fruitful and effective.
The visit to the Deloitte Hong Kong Head Office on 25 May 2023 provided our Form 4 BAFS students with a unique opportunity to explore one of the Big 4 accounting firms, gain insights into the corporate functions of the leading global provider of related professional services, and receive guidance from Deloitte staff on how to develop their career aspirations and acquire skills for the future workplace.
On 5 July 2023, a group of our F.5 students studying Economics and BAFS went on a guided tour visiting the HKEX Connect Hall, HKMA Information Centre, and Urban Renewal Exploration Centre. The tour allowed them to gain insights into the economic and social development of Hong Kong over the years. It was a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the subject content outside the classroom.
