Plagiarism and the Use of AI Policy:

If a student is caught plagiarizing on an assignment, they will be asked to redo the assignment. Repeated plagiarisms (2nd time and all following incidents.) will result in parental contact and a zero on the assignment with no chance to redo.

*There will be situations where AI use is acceptable and needed for the assignment's completion. This will be clearly stated to students both in class and also in the instructions on the assignment itself. If it doesn't state to use AI in the directions, it is unacceptable to use AI on the assignment.

Grading Policy

Minor assignments (HW, CW, quizzes) will be worth 2/3 of the total marking period grade, while majors (tests, projects, etc.) will be worth 1/3 of the marking period grade.

Late work will be accepted for full credit if the assignment is turned in the day after it is due. After that, the assignment's grade will be lowered 10 points for each day it is late. Once an assignment is late by 6 days or more, the maximum grade given for a completed assignment will be 50.

Any student with a C- or lower at the time of interim reports will receive an "In Danger of Failing" report.
