Welcome to Pre-Algebra and Algebra One.  Thus far, you have been preparing all your life to enter into Pre-Algebra.     Pre-Algebra is an essential class that is the basis of the entire math you will take through your education journey.  The skills you learn in this class can even be applied to everyday life.  My goal is to assist you in answering: How does Algebra play a role in my everyday life? Throughout the year we will be coming back to this question and building on this.

I am looking forward to working with all of you in this adventure. Everyone who enters my classroom door will be invited to a positive learning environment.  I am excited about all the potential you have in you and have high expectations that you will succeed in this class.  You are smart no matter what you think and this year your intelligence level will only increase. I am committed to assist you in reaching the goals you will have for this class. It is my desire to see you achieve all that you believe. Throughout the year, I will be teaching you how to think critically, problem solve, and help you to become mathematically literate young adults in order for you to transfer your knowledge from our classroom to your own communities and beyond.
