The Johnsburg Central School District and Minerva Central School District Boards of Education commissioned the Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA) to conduct a feasibility study regarding a potential merger of our two districts and to gather input from parents, students, staff, and community members. Committee meetings took place October 2023 to March 2024. The Feasibility Study was presented to both districts' Boards of Education in July 2024. In September 2024, both Boards held public meetings open to comment and voted to determine whether or not they wanted to move forward with the process and allow a straw vote. Given both Boards did not vote in favor, the merger will not move forward at this time.
