Books can take you on endless adventures and help you learn about the past, present and future! The Reading Passport Program is designed to encourage you to explore a variety of books in both print and digital formats. Walkertown MS students and staff are welcome to participate! As you read books that match boxes on your WMS Reading Passport, you will earn recognition and special treats during the year!
Record book titles on the Reading Passport Graphic Organizer provided (printed forms are available in the media center). As you complete a "bingo" pattern, complete an online Reading Adventure Success Form. You should enter the following information every time you complete a "bingo" pattern on your Reading Passport. When you enter a completed form, your name is recorded for drawings, prizes, recognitions, and other fun opportunities. If you complete an entire Reading Passport (all 25 boxes) you will earn a special surprise. Additional versions of the passport will be available for our power readers. If you complete all 25 passport boxes, see Mrs. Webster in person.
You may choose books from our library, SORA (ebooks & digital audiobooks), Playaway books, public library book, book from home or the book fair. Keep in mind that your teachers and the media staff may conference with your about what you're reading at any time, so be ready to talk about what you're reading this year! See your ELA teacher or Mrs. Webster for book recommendations, SORA support, or if you have questions.
