GCS Art Classroom
Class overview
Art is about the intersections of play, inquiry, and the importance of feeling capable, rather than the end product. Our focus is developing empathy and insight in order speak visual languages that expresses students thought, feelings, and opinions. We do this through the concept of "Big Ideas'". Big Ideas' is a broad umbrella that can encompass a project, for example: Love, Home, or The Natural World. Big Ideas' allow students to bring their own unique experiences to the project. My hope is to introduce students to a wide variety of mediums to through Big Ideas'.
