# 1 – How did earning the Dollars For Scholars/Fountain Valley Scholars award make you feel knowing that your community believed in you enough to invest in your education?
Earning the Dollars for Scholars award made me feel very valuable to my community. I felt as though the community cared about me as an individual and that they wanted to see the young people in our area thrive. This scholarship, along with the unending support of the community members, is one of the main reasons that I am as successful as I am today. Having a community that values you enough to invest in your education creates a sense of home and togetherness that I believe is not found in many other places.
# 2 – Please provide a statement or quote that you feel represents you and your post high school educational experience
“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who will prepare for it today.”
