Keri Nelson – Widefield High School, class of 2003
Keri attended Colorado College where she earned her bachelor of arts in Biochemistry with a minor in Music. She graduated from there in 2007 and went on to pursue more education, earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2013 from the University of Colorado. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon and is working as a pediatric physical therapist.
# 1 – How did earning the Dollars For Scholars/Fountain Valley Scholars award make you feel knowing that your community believed in you enough to invest in your education?
Earning the Dollars For Scholars scholarship gave me confidence because I knew that my community was applauding my achievements and supporting my education and future endeavors.

My four years at Colorado College were some of the best years of my life and were very influential in defining the person I am today. Now I am happy to have a career that I love helping children with special needs in my community.
