# 1 – How did earning the Dollars For Scholars/Fountain Valley Scholars award make you feel knowing that your community believed in you enough to invest in your education?
It was a very good feeling knowing that there were teachers in my high school that thought I was worthy enough to be nominated and considered for financial aid in my future schooling. It was already hard for me to find scholarships for schooling so having that opportunity for the Dollars for Scholars scholarship was very exciting. It also gave me that extra push in knowing that other people believed in me and wanted to help my dream become a reality in regards to what I want to do with my life. It may have been a small scholarship ($1,000 for one year) but it helped get me started with my next level of education and has reminded me that other people saw me worthy of that reward and taking that for granted would not be fair to those individuals who say that much worth in me.
# 2 – Please provide a statement or quote that you feel represents you and your post high school educational experience
