Coding in Action will using the Tello drone this year for the competition. The Tello Drone uses the Tello Edu application through an iPad for functionality. To learn more about the Tello Drone, visit this website.
The city is being attacked by villians. It's up to YOU to help save the city. To access the city, you must enter through the tunnel. Program your drone to fly autonomously into the tunnel. Drones then must navigate through billboards into the city. After the billboards, drones can enter into the city. The city is overrun by the villians. Teams must knock down the villians from the buildings in order to save the city..
Drones must be programmed to navigate through the each section of the course, using the Tello Edu Application.
Students will be positioned outside the course in a box. If the drone falls somewhere in the course, the field manager will bring the drone back to the box.
The course is divided into 3 sections. Students are given 12 minutes at each section to program and fly their drone. Students are given as many opportunities to earn points during that 12 minutes period. The highest points scored during the 12 minutes will be given to the team as their final points.
