Interested in going to OTECH or the DTC while completing your senior year? Did you know you can get it paid for?
Plan ahead, SPOTS ARE LIMITED and you will need to make sure of the following things:
Student must be a Senior on track for graduation
Juniors can be accepted on a case by case basis if they have met the MAJORITY of their graduation requirements
You can have no more than .75 ACL
You must fill out the statement of agreement with your counselor, get it signed by a guardian, and turn it into Kellie Hales in the CTE office
Contact the CTE office or your counselor for more information! If you think you want to be a part of a program, get your name on the waiting list early.
Starting an OTECH program while you’re in high school opens up a world of possibilities. It’s a sure way to prepare you for your future career, but the best part is, you don’t even pay a cent. High schoolers attend OTECH tuition free!
And if you’re a senior graduating soon, there are lots of opportunities for you!
Receive high school and college credit by taking classes on campus at Davis Tech or take classes at your high school (or the Catalyst Center). Many students graduate with a certificate at the same time as their high school diploma. Then acquire a high-demand career right after graduation. If you decide to transfer to a college or university, up to 30 credit hours may be applied to an AA, AAS, or BS.
