DRILLS
A fire evacuation plan is posted in each room along with a list of other types of drills. Teachers will review the various drill plans with students. Students should know/understand the various plans and become familiar with them.
If a fire drill:
- When the fire alarm sounds, students will immediately leave the room with their teacher and report to their designated spot outside.
- Running and talking are not permitted.
- Once outside, students are to remain at least 50 feet away from the building until the principal or the assistant principal gives further instructions.
In addition to fire drills, the school also holds drills to prepare students for:
- Bus evacuations
- Shelter in place
- Reverse Evacuation
- Lock downs
- A.L.I.C.E.
Experiencing a variety of drills is intended to maintain the highest state of readiness and safety in the event of an unforeseen situation.
TRAFFIC PATTERNS
Car Drop Off - Please drop students off at the stop sign prior to 7:34 in the morning. If dropping students off after 7:34, they will have to enter through the front entrance and will need to check in at the main office.
Car Pick up - Please pick up your child by the main entrance to the school starting at 2:22. If picking up during the school day, please stop in the main office to sign your child out.
Note: the road by the front and side of WRMS are one way only. During bus pickup/drop off, the road in back is also one way and restricted to non bus traffic.
