Dear Student and Family,
I’m so excited for this opportunity to be a member of the Princeton community and I’m particularly excited to take on the role of K-8 Art Teacher at Thomas Prince School. I have no doubt this will be an amazing year for us all.
I’d like to share a little information about myself. I was born and raised in Princeton, Massachusetts and attended Thomas Prince School K-8. Attending Mrs. Cook’s art class was always a highlight of my week. Having a creative outlet helped me to discover who I was and where I wanted to go. After graduating from Wachusett Regional High School, I pursued a career in graphic design and attended Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Immediately after graduating I began my design career in the advertising department at Staples Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts which led me to a design and development position at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I loved the creative aspect of my career, but longed for a more purposeful path that connected me back to children and their self-discovery. Over the weekend my husband and I celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary. We reside in Rutland with our English Bull Terrier, Cisco, and our five chickens.
I’m anxious to get to know all the amazing students that make up the Thomas Prince student body. My goal is to create and maintain a digital platform which will allow you to observe our classroom throughout the year. It’s thrilling to be part of a STEAM-focused school which promotes collaboration, communication, and appreciation for diversity.
I look forward to meeting all of you at our Open House and continuing a dialogue throughout the year. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
