Spring/Summer 2023
Thanks so much to all the families who came out on June 8th and made our second annual Spring Art Show, FEAST YOUR EYES a big success! Check out the photo album here! 5th grade students also worked so hard on their production of Willy Wonka Jr. including my fabulous set design crew. Check out some of the amazing set pieces they created!
I am pleased to share that Dawson artists uploaded over 2600 photographs of their artwork to Artsonia this year! Thanks to all the fans who supported your artists by commenting on their work. It really encourages them to add to their portfolio.
If you're looking for an engaging, interactive art site for kids on rainy days or long car rides, check out Google Arts and Culture's PLAY site. The 3D Pottery game is my favorite. Have a creative summer!

Dawson Art Studio Wishlist
Gently used building toys- Lego, K'Nex, Keva planks, wooden blocks, Lincoln logs, architecture sets, etc.
Small, clean recyclables- shoe boxes or smaller, small plastic caps, corks, TP and paper towel rolls, etc.
Small plastic or resin realistic animal toys (to draw)
Ribbon, yarn, thread, fabric scraps, buttons for weaving and sewing
Craft supplies- pipe cleaners, googly eyes, pom poms, beads, etc.
Patterned papers (like scrapbooking paper)
Origami paper
Age-appropriate magazines and newspapers
iPads- upgrading? Donate your old iPad (running iOS 13+) to the Art Studio! We use them to look up reference images and to take photos for Artsonia.
