WR Girls Softball
Girls Softball beat Waterloo last night 13-3. Sophia Reigle drove in five runs on two hits to lead Western Reserve. She doubled in the sixth inning, scoring 3 runs and doubled in the fifth inning, scoring one. Katie Byers singled, Caylee Selley both scoring runs.
Next Game is today, April 29, Away against Mineral Ridge. The game starts at 5 PM. Come out and show your support!

At Sectionals, Caleb Sinn placed 3rd, Hunter Taylor placed 4th, Avery Siwula placed 4th, Tyler Cummings placed 5th and Alton Ramsey placed 6th.
Avery, Hunter and Caleb will travel to Independence High School on Friday, March 1st for Districts.

7th Grade Girls Basketball
The 7th grade girls basketball team won the MVAC Championship Last Wednesday over Springfield 30-17. The team went undefeated the entire season!
Top Scorers included Baylie Sinn with an astounding 18 points! Mara Kale contributed with 5 points and Rose Ogle had 4 points. Congratulations Lady Devils on an outstanding season!

Congrats to Junior Nate Hemberger on First Team All-Ohio at LB! Nate amassed 176 tackles and 28 TFL while earning his second career All-Ohio award in his career.

Congrats to Senior Luke Henning on earning 2nd Team All-Ohio at QB! Luke had over 2300 yards of offense and 28 TD while helping our team win 9 games.
Isaac Burnett
Congrats to Junior Isaac Burnett on 2nd Team All-Ohio on the DL! Isaac recorded 60 tackles and 10 TFL on top of numerous sacks and forced fumbles.
Jack Darney
Congrats to Junior Jack Darney on earning Honorable Mention All-Ohio at RB! JD had over 1,000 yards of offense and 10 TD while playing in just 9 games.
Joey Sigworth
Congrats to Senior Joe Sigworth on Honorable Mention All-Ohio at LB! Joey recorded 107 tackles and 7 TFL on a resurgent defense.
Vindicator Mahoning County Small School Players of the Year
The honors keep rolling in for 9 Blue Devils! The Vindicator named their Small School Football Players of the Year for Mahoning County. Congratulations to Luke Henning, Jack Darney, Nate Fusillo, Isaac Burnett, Joey Sigworth, Fischer Himes, Dom Ricciardi, Chris Pater and especially to Nate Hemberger - Small Schools Defensive Player of the Year!!!

Western Reserve senior Luke Henning is a two-sport standout student-athlete, both in football and basketball.
“Sports, it’s not even like a hobby really. It’s just my favorite thing to do, basically,” Henning said. “Putting all the time I need to make our team as best as possible and try and make the community proud. Just get everyone together in one big, happy community.”

School Records!!
On Friday two of our football players broke school records. Luke Henning became the first player with 1,000 passing and 1,000 rushing yards in a season. Nate Hemberger set the single season tackle record and broke the record for touchdowns in a game with 7. Way to go guys! Keep up the good work.

Cross Country

The Cross Country team ran at Newton Falls last Wednesday. Congrats to Caylee Selley, Nick Anguili, and Joey Minniti for beating their personal records. Big congrats to Evelyn Collier for placing 8th and PRing, Andrew Fromel for placing 8th and PRing, Landan Keck for placing 3rd, Chase Seelbach for placing 7th and Landan Gerchak for placing 8th. The team will have their last regular season meet on Saturday here. Congratulations!

September 23 vs Everett High School
The WR Football team defeated Everett Area on Saturday by a score of 31-14. Leading the defensive attack were Nathan Hemberger who recorded 20 tackles, Joey Sigworth who recorded 8 and Isaac Burnett who recorded 7. Luke Henning and Alec Abrams also both had big days defensively with interceptions. Offensively the Blue Devils were led by Luke Henning’s 91 yards rushing and Jack Darney’s 75 yards rushing; both Luke and Jake had 2 touchdowns each. Andriy Chuta Soy’s 32 yard field goal rounded out the scoring.
