To kick off the 2025-26 school year, Wright City High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes has introduced three new student leaders.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, commonly known as FCA, is a student-led organization focused on encouraging coaches, athletes and peers to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, using the school as a platform for outreach and service.
Seniors Ayden Dile, Claire Williams and Katelyn Thompson have joined the leadership team for the first time this year. The trio hopes to boost attendance, increase student engagement and serve the Wright City community.
With an average weekly attendance of 15 to 20 students, FCA leaders are aiming to expand the group's reach.
“FCA plans to increase meeting attendance and gain engagement by doing outreach throughout the year, as well as hosting an FCA social,” Williams said. “Outreaches might include things like giving out breakfast with encouraging notes attached, or just simply greeting students as they come into school.”
In addition to the new leaders, FCA is also welcoming back four returning seniors: Autumn Lumma, Canon Hornberger, Charis Riggs and Quinn Schnarre.
“Adding new leaders is crucial to the success of FCA,” Hornberger said. “Not only does it allow for a separated workload, but it provides different ways to spread the gospel and take action!”
FCA meets every Wednesday from 6:50 to 7:10 a.m. in Room 228, the Spanish classroom. For more information, students can contact sponsors Coach Tyler Rickard or Mrs. Julie Hernandez.
