As the new semester begins, the EdRising club is continuing its mission to support teachers across the district while preparing for upcoming competitions.
The club plans to stay focused on competition events by ensuring that each member receives support during studying and planning. Along with competition preparation, EdRising hopes to increase members’ service hours by creating more volunteer opportunities and becoming more active within the school district and local community.
One way the club plans to increase involvement is by supporting district staff members and organizing activities such as teacher appreciation initiatives.
“We like to keep ideas circulating for things like teacher appreciation week and how we can make this year better than the last,” said Delanie Nack, president of EdRising.
In addition to club-wide goals, individual members have set personal objectives. Rylee Koehler, vice president of communication, hopes to advance to the state level in her competition this year.
“I’m doing an interactive bulletin board where I have to demonstrate how teachers can use bulletin boards to teach lessons,” said Koehler.
Koehler also emphasized the importance of building strong relationships within the organization.
“I’m also striving to build more one-on-one connections with other members within the club,” she said.
Club members believe these goals will help EdRising continue to grow and expand its impact throughout the district and the community.
