DECA members have been working toward their upcoming district competition, scheduled for Feb. 10, 2026. In the weeks leading up to the event, members have been preparing materials for their competitions, which include role-play events and presentations before a panel of judges.
Members will compete in events that showcase skills in business, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship.
To ensure participants are fully prepared, DECA has been holding meetings twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays leading up to the district competition. The meeting schedule is subject to change following Feb. 10.
Members who place at the district level will qualify for the DECA state competition, which will be held March 24-25 in Kansas City. Between districts and state, qualifying members will continue to strengthen their knowledge of their respective events as they prepare to present before a new set of judges in a larger competition pool.
DECA fundraising will also begin at the end of the month and continue into February. Members will bring home order forms featuring products available for purchase to help fund trips and competitions for the club.
As district competition approaches, DECA members remain motivated and look forward to representing Wright City in competition.
