DECA held its monthly club meeting on Nov. 5 directly after school, focusing on upcoming fundraising efforts, budget planning, merchandise designs, and officer meetings scheduled for later in the month to stay on track with ongoing projects.
Members are currently preparing for their district competition on Feb. 10, where students will present projects, participate in roleplays, and interview with marketing professionals. The event offers a major networking opportunity for students interested in business and marketing, and top performers will have the chance to advance to the state level with their chosen events.
To support these opportunities, DECA is exploring fundraising options for later in the year aimed at boosting engagement and strengthening the club’s presence in the community. Club members have begun discussing potential partnerships with local businesses as well as possible item sales.
More details on upcoming fundraising initiatives are expected as plans develop. The next DECA meeting will be held on Nov. 19.
