As the 2024-2025 school year approaches, so does the marching season, which includes performances by the band, dance, cheer, and colorguard during fall football games and competitions. For those interested in joining the Wright City Colorguard, pre-audition clinics will be held before the end of the current school year.
The pre-audition clinic dates are as follows:
- April 30
- May 2
- May 7
- May 9
The official fall guard audition will take place on May 14. Prior experience is optional, as the guard seeks new members to expand their numbers and deliver bigger and better performances than in previous years. The only requirement for these auditions is a hardworking attitude.
Coach Madison Luedtke, while reluctant to reveal details about the upcoming shows, has proven to be instrumental in the guard's improvement. The Wright City Winter Guard surpassed their previous placements this year, demonstrating significant progress.
Colorguard is a fun and graceful activity, but like any sport, it often involves stressful and awkward moments. However, the experience of performing for an audience and tracking personal improvements makes it worth every moment.
Interested students are encouraged to attend these clinics to gain the confidence and experiences that colorguard can offer during their high school years.
